Front Sight Kit
One of the most popular jobs for the pistolsmith is barrel shortening which will usually require the installation of a front sight. Screw-on and silver solder are the two options most frequently used for attaching a ramp front sight on an adjustable sight single action revolver.

Both post and ramp blades are offered.Single action shooters tend to be traditionalists; some dislike the exposed screw attachment. Silver soldered sights require considerable time, practice, and skill for an attractive installation. Additionally, after silver soldering, the barrel will need rebluing. Usually, the solder line will show and is unsettling to many.

Our sights overcome the objections of silver soldering and screw-on attachment. No screws are visible, heat is not required, bluing is not necessary, and the level of skill is no greater than other screw-on sights.The difference; our sight looks as good as the best silver solder job without any of the drawbacks.
Custom stainless Ruger BlackhawkOur front sights are attached by three hidden cap screws. The sights have interchangeable blades, and are elegant in design; the same we have used on our custom Ruger conversions for several years. The bases are available in either matte blue carbon steel or brush stainless. Blades are matte blued heat treated tool steel, serrated, and either post or ramp shape.

(3) Blue ramp or post: .200 .250 .300 .350 heights. .250 is correct for mid bullet weights for all chamberings and 4.6” and 5.5” barrels. Blades can be exchanged no charge if not altered.
