Policy and Terms
Alpha Precision, Inc. guarantees all work
to be done as described on our web page in a professional manner. We further
guarantee your satisfaction for a period of six months after shipping, unless
the gun has been obviously abused. If you do experience problems, your gun
will be returned as quickly as possible. Your complete satisfaction is what we
are selling.
All payments must be in US dollars and can be by personal/business check,
though your gun will not be shipped for 10 business days from time of deposit.
A Money Order, Cashier’s Check, or credit card using PayPal will result in
immediate shipment. Prices are cash prices. Balances paid by credit card will
be charged an extra 3%.

Our
terms are 20 % deposit in order to be placed on our waiting list. The deposit is
refundable only as credit on work performed by Alpha Precision, Inc. The balance
is due prior to shipping. The waiting list is divided into two categories: minor
and major work. Minor work is Alpha Precision labor $700, or less. Major work is
over $700 Alpha Precision labor. Minor work is usually completed in about three
months. For minor work, customers often send the entire amount with the gun in
the form of a personal check.
On major work, a personal check is acceptable for the deposit. When work is
completed to the deposit amount, the customer is notified regarding the
estimated final balance and when the work is expected to be completed. At that
time the balance will be requested. You do not need to send the total amount at
that time, but work will not proceed beyond dollar value of payments received.
Please note, Alpha Precision does not blue or plate. The firms used produce work
of the highest quality, and their work is either prepaid or paid immediately on
receipt of their invoice.
This is a one man operation, and while every effort is made to complete minor
work in three months, major work can be done only when minor work is current.
Not knowing how much minor work will arrive, it is impossible to estimate the
waiting period for major work. It is safe to say that it will be nine month
minimum.
You do not need to send your gun with the deposit. Time will be reserved for
major work with a 20% deposit. Any amount you are comfortable sending will
reserve a place for minor work projects. You will be notified approximately two
weeks before you gun is needed. Occasionally, the question is “can you….”
regarding work not listed on the web page or in the brochure. The answer is
often “yes”, but the gun must be examined first to be sure. I request a
deposit for examination, and return. If the work is done, the deposit is applied
in full to the invoice. If not, the deposit pays for my time and return
shipping. The amount is the first item, Job Feasibility, on the Price List.
When the cost of customizing equals or exceeds the retail cost of the gun, I
feel it is truly a custom gun. I can electro etch “Custom By Alpha Precision,
Inc. Jim Stroh”. There are three lines; the letters are approximately 1/16”
high, and my name is a signature. Some want these markings on the gun, some do
not. You must request the marking: it would be difficult and expensive to remove
if not wanted. There is no charge for the marking. Custom Rugers are electro
etched “Best Grade” or “Field Grade”. Marking deviations are possible,
please ask if interested. Special stencils are extra.
Billing is based on prices in effect at the time your order is completed and
invoiced.
There is a service charge of 1.5% per month for invoices over 30 days. Guns
which we have customized and are not claimed within thirty days of official
notification, will be sold to pay for all work performed plus the cost of
selling.
